Why us

Most of the "Fort Wayne 3PLs" you just searched aren't in Fort Wayne.

Search for a fulfillment center here and you get directories, national networks with a templated city page, and at least one company whose Fort Wayne page argues you shouldn't use a 3PL in Fort Wayne at all. None of them will meet you at a dock door on US Highway 24 West.

We will. For most of the people who call us, that turns out to be the thing that mattered — a building they can visit, counts they can verify, and an owner who picks up when a shipment goes sideways.

  • Family-owned, with 20+ years in service businesses
  • You talk to an owner, not a support queue
  • 12,000 sq ft with full semi load and unload
  • Inventory out the door in 24–48 business hours on typical shipments
  • Small brands and pallet-volume wholesalers both welcome
  • Walkthroughs welcome before you commit a pallet

Geography

Fort Wayne sits inside a day's drive of a third of the country.

This isn't a sentimental argument about the Midwest — it's a shipping-zone argument. Ground parcel rates and transit days are driven by how far your inventory sits from your customer, and Northeast Indiana sits close to a very large number of them.

Chicago, Detroit, Indianapolis, Columbus, Cincinnati and Cleveland are all inside a three-hour drive. I-69 runs through the city, I-80/90 is just north, and the I-469 loop puts freight on our dock without dragging a trailer through town.

Already using someone else

Try us without changing a thing.

Switching prep centers means trusting a stranger with inventory you've already paid for, and updating every distributor you buy from. So don't do either yet.

Redirect one purchase order. Keep your current provider running. We'll prep the first 500 units free and photograph how every SKU was done, so you can judge the work on your own inventory before you move anything else.

No setup fee. About 41% of prep centers charge one — the published median is $87 and several charge $250 to $300. We don't have one. You're welcome to go and check.
We write the distributor letters. The admin is the real friction, so we remove it — ready-to-send letters with our receiving address already filled in, one per supplier.

Why we stay small

We take on very few clients. That's the point.

We could fill this building with forty accounts. We'd rather have a dozen and know every one of them by name — which SKUs are fragile, which supplier ships short, who needs a call before a shipment goes out rather than after.

That's not a slogan about service, it's arithmetic. Every client takes real attention — heaviest in the first month, and steady after that — and a prep center chasing volume has to stop giving it. When you call here you get one of us, or someone standing ten feet from your pallets — and the reason that's possible is that we deliberately don't take everybody.

It also means we're honest about fit. If your volume is too small for us to do well, we'll tell you that instead of taking your money and doing it badly.

Getting started

How onboarding actually goes.

1

You tell us what you're shipping

SKU count, units per month, how it arrives, where it needs to go, and anything unusual about it. A phone call usually covers it faster than a form.

2

We quote your actual work

Every account runs a little differently, so we price the work in front of us rather than pretending one rate card fits everyone. In writing, before anything ships.

3

You send a first shipment

We give you the receiving address and labelling instructions. Start with one shipment, not your whole catalogue — it's the cheapest way for both of us to find out if this works.

4

We receive, prep and ship

You get confirmation of what arrived, what the counts were, and what went out. If something doesn't match, you hear it from us first.

FAQ

Questions we get before the first pallet

Where exactly are you?

10732 US Highway 24 W, Fort Wayne, IN 46804 — on US Highway 24 West, with direct access to I-69. You're welcome to come see the building before you ship us anything. Most of the companies ranking above us for 'Fort Wayne 3PL' don't have a building here at all.

How big is your operation?

12,000 sq ft with one dock door that takes a full semi, live loaded or unloaded. That is deliberately mid-sized: big enough to handle pallet volume and container-scale receiving, small enough that your account isn't a rounding error and the owner knows your product by name.

What does Pegasus Prep actually do?

Four things. Prep and ship inventory into Amazon FBA and Walmart. Store your inventory and pick, pack and ship ecommerce orders direct to your customers. Unload, count and palletise import containers. And straightforward warehousing and floor storage. We also cross dock freight, though it is a smaller part of what we do.

How fast do you turn inventory around?

Standard is 24 to 48 business hours from receipt to outbound on typical shipments. Large or unusually involved runs take longer, and so does a week when we're stacked up — either way we tell you the date before your freight lands, not after. If you have a tight window, say so up front and we'll tell you honestly whether we can hit it.

Is there a minimum volume?

750 units a month and up. Learning your SKUs, setting up receiving and the back-and-forth on the first few shipments cost us the same whether it's 300 units or 3,000 — so below that neither of us comes out ahead. If you're close to 750 and growing, call anyway. We'd rather talk it through than lose a good account over a number.

Who will I actually be talking to?

Austin, Adam or your account manager — between the three of us somebody who knows your inventory is always reachable. Austin and Adam own Pegasus Prep and are on the floor most days. Nobody here reads from a script, and there's no ticket queue between you and the people who touch your product.
